Early Voting

Early Voting begins 29 days before an election. Voters may come to the Monterey County Elections Department at 1370 B South Main Street in Salinas (in the Nob Hill Shopping Center). Here they may pick up a vote by mail ballot or use our touch screen voting machine that can help voters with sight and mobility impairments.

Standard office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Election Day, we are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Additional voting hours may be offered in larger elections.  For more information please call us at 831-796-1499 or see the Frequently Asked Questions page about voting by mail.
