NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the offices for which candidates are to be nominated or elected at the Gubernatorial Primary Election to be held on the 6th day of June, 2006, together with the names of the political parties qualified to participate in such election, are as follows:

NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that candidates for a local, state, or federal office must satisfy the filing fee, declare candidacy, obtain and circulate nomination petitions in the office of the Registrar of Voters between the dates of February 13, 2006 and March 10, 2006. If candidates wish to gather signatures in-lieu of the filing fee, please contact the Monterey County Election Department at 831-796-1499 for further information.

NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that the statutory deadline to submit a measure to be voted on at the Gubernatorial Primary Election is March 10, 2006.

NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that the last day to submit arguments for or against a measure to be voted on at the Gubernatorial Primary Election is March 16, 2006.

NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that the last day to submit rebuttal arguments for or against a measure to be voted on at the Gubernatorial Primary Election is March 21, 2006.


NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that at the Gubernatorial Primary Election the polls will remain open from the hour of 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. on the day thereof.
